2nd workshop in London

The second local event of Anti-discrimination Pack 2.0 took place in London, Hannibal House, on 2nd November 2017. It was held by Kairos Europe for sharing the outcomes and the ideas produced by the project Anti-discrimination Pack 2.0 in which it took part along with other 5 organisations from different European countries. The trainer was Heshani Jayaratne who has been following the project since its early stages and was in charge of the previous events as well. The event has been promoted on Kairos Europe website and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.). The event has also been promoted through people participating at various events held by Kairos Europe. The workshop was divided into 4 parts: Participants introduction and general introduction about the project which included presenting the different partners, the Erasmus+ programme and the overall content and scope of the project. Focus on the topics of online discrimination and online bullying. In this phase the focus was on presenting the main topic of the project to the participants. The participants learned the definition of online discrimination and bullying, have been shown their characteristics, their effects and possible measure on how to tackle these issues. NVC online: introduction to nonviolent communication concept and its possible usage in online communication

Pilot training took part in the office of Internationaler Bund Polska in Krakow on August 17th 2017. Internationaler Bund Polska supports volunteering, vocational education of youth and adults and works in favor of professional and social integration of the ones in danger of social exclusion. For many years IB Polska is hosting and coordinating EVS volunteers who work mainly with children and young adults, often with disabilities. Both, the volunteers and organization offers various workshops and activities for young people from Krakow and around. Workshop was facilitated by Paulina Drzal- facilitator of learning, drama trainer and former EVS coordinator. Paulina is a representative of Green Elephant Foundation. The meeting was promoted through the volunteers, newsletter within the organization and also shared with mentors and the coordinators within the EVS hosting organizations. Meeting was divided into three parts. First part was an introduction to the topic and small task for participants together with sharing discoveries. Second part was an introduction with a video of Marshall Rosenberg together with comments from participants and the third part was based on brainstorming on the usage of NVC methodology in the online context.
